Description
Do you celebrate the 120th day of school? These are fun and engaging centers and activities that work with numbers to 120. This can be a special day or centers spread out over a week. This day can be done at any time during the school year- on the 120th day of school, a day in October, or even at the end of the school year!
The excitement begins when the students receive a note welcoming them to the 10×12 Construction Crew and requesting them to report to their job site (their classroom) in the morning. After the students arrive, “clock in” and receive their crew badge, they will report and rotate through several “job sites” (centers). After completing the activity at their job site, students will receive a number to add to a giant 120’s chart posted in the classroom as they build their way to 120.
Included are 12 different engaging centers and activities. You can do as many or as few as you have time for.
“Job sites” (centers) include:
* Building a 120 Cup Tower (roll, add, record, and build)
* I Can Build to 100 Book (making tens using ten frames and number sentences)
* Building a 10×12 Snack (counting to 120 by tens with snack foods)

We hope you and your crew have an exciting time building your way to 120! If you have any questions, please e-mail us at [email protected]. Be sure to download the preview to see everything that is included in this resource.
**Please Note** We also created a Construction Day to 100 which is almost identical to this day. We had several first grade teachers ask us to create this for their 120th day of school, so we modified the activities to go to 120 in this resource.
