Description
Get ready for a 120th day of school celebration like you’ve never done before! Your secret agents will love working through missions to rescue Zero the Hero and save the 120th Day!
We are SO inspired by Hope King’s spy lab room transformation and wanted to bring that idea to our kindergartners with a mystery!
We had teachers asking us to modify our 100’s Day Mystery to be used on the 120th Day. This product is exactly the same idea as our 100th Day Mystery. The difference is that we changed the recording sheets, printables, and activities to match the 120th Day.
The Problem: Zero the Hero was kidnapped by Devious Agent 119 in order to stop the 120th from day from coming. Without the number zero, it will have to be day 119 over and over again.
The Premise: Your students will turn into secret agents as they receive their secret agent badge upon entering the classroom. You will play a YouTube video or .m4v file with a ransom note being read by another secret agent that will help to set the stage for the day.
The Missions: Your secret agents will work through several missions (all involving the number 120). After they complete a mission, they are able to open up a clue from Devious Agent 119. The missions include:
✷ Writing numbers to 120 (using invisible ink or highlighters that glow)
✷ Cracking the code using giant 10 frames (making 10)
✷ Bowling to 120
✷ Fingerprint science
✷ I Spy Numbers (Magnify It)
✷ STEM with 120
✷ Minute to Win It Activities (with the number 120)
✷ Making spy potions and “Hot on the Trail” Mix
Once your agents have collected all of the clues and put them together to figure out where Zero the Hero is being held, your agents will be off to look for him! Instead of finding Zero the Hero, they will find a note and special treat left as a reward for saving the 120th Day.
This will be a 120th day of school that your students will never forget!

Maleah P. said, “Oh my goodness this is one of the best resources I have ever purchased because it pushed me to try something completely new- a classroom flip! My kids absolutely loved everything about the 120th day of school! This resource has practical but engaging, activities. We now refer to the 120th day of school as “the best day ever” in my room!”
